There is a huge lack of live hip-hop DVDs. It might be due to the lack of good hip-hop performers, but even artists that are great performers (The Roots, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Common, Mos Def, etc.) could have more of a presence on the DVD front.

¡Mayday! caught me off guard back in 2006. I remember watching MTV Jams and seeing this dope video by some unknown rappers with Cee-Lo and DJ Craze.  Then it hit me… “Is that South Beach? Are they from MIAMI?!”
