Panacea is the best group you’ve never heard of. Ever since Ink Is My Drink (which I gave a 95/100 on Okayplayer), I’ve been a huge fan of their spacey and lush soundscapes and emotive storytelling.
Producer K-Murdock and rapper Raw Poetic are also awesome, down to earth people… they were amongst my favorite people to interview, which I did in 2007 when their album The Scenic Route came out.
Their live show perfectly captures the dreamlike and hypnotic feel of their studio work, largely thanks to their side-project band, RPM.
