Mos Def sat in with The Roots tonight on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, even playing cowbell as The Roots played “Don’t Fear The Reaper” for Will Ferrell. The highlight, though, was the performance of “Casa Bey” from Mos Def’s new album, The Ecstatic.
This wasn’t Mos Def’s only late-night performance, though. On the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday, Mos performed “Quiet Dog Bite Hard.” With only DJ Preservation and Chris Dave on his unique drum kit, Mos Def rapped while playing timpani drums:
