Mos Def is back, or I at least hope so. After releasing two uneven albums, “Casa Bey” is his new single which hopes to excite the fanbase.
Sounds good to me.
“Casa Bey” is the first video from The Ecstatic, which should hit stores June 9. It’s his first album for Downtown Records (Gnarls Barkley and Santigold’s label), and his first album since the mediocre 2006 album True Magic.
Production for the album will come courtesy of Dilla, Madlib, Oh No, and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes. Black Thought of The Roots, Talib Kweli, Slick Rick and Jay Electronica will provide guest verses.
