After spending many years following Saturday night home games with retro and Latin acts like Poison, KC & The Sunshine Band, and Willy Chirino, the Florida Marlins held their first hip-hop concert after Saturday’s 8-4 loss to the New York Mets: Miami rappers Pitbull, Flo Rida and DJ Laz.

Screenwriter Ernest Lehman set out to write “The Hitchcock picture to end all Hitchcock pictures,” and in many ways he succeeded. From the funky green opening credits, to the closing shot of a train entering a tunnel (phallic symbol anyone?), North By Northwest is the most invigorating and exciting movie by Alfred Hitchcock. Slumdog Millionaire wasn’t the best movie of 2008. Movies like The Dark Knight and The Wrestler, neither of which were nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars, packed a much larger emotional and cinematographic wallop.
